Foreign Students Information GSp is one of the facilities for university and HBO students. It focuses on the philosophy of life and society the way other facilities concern culture (Usva) and sports (ACLO). GSp is a place where religious and philosophical interests of students are meaningfully related to contemporary development in society and the world of science and scholarship as well as to their personal life and history. You can meet other students, have a drink and broaden your perspectives by contemplating about sense and nonsense, religion and life. Dinner Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 18.30 you can join us for dinner. Please let us know before 12.00, by email (

In our worship we seek to be united around such notions as spirituality, solidarity and responsibility. Please feel free to come and worship with us. Services in English With an eye to the large number of international students in Groningen and the consequent demand for church services in English, we celebrate an Anglican-style Evensong. The international character of these services is very strong: not only the hymns, psalms and canticles, but the entire liturgy is in English, as is the order of service booklet. In addition there is a vesper service in the style of the liturgy of Taizé, the well-known religious community in the village of the same name in Burgundy, France. Traditionally the hymns and songs are sung in various languages (Latin, French, English, German, Spanish), but the remainder of the liturgy is in English, as is the order of service booklet. 15 November Taizé Evensong 29 November Anglican-style Evensong 13 December Gregorian Evensong 10 January Taizé Evensong
